Rex has always had a passion for any construction toys. From Minecraft to Lego, to Numberblock blocks (Christmas Day a couple of years back he spent the WHOLE day constructing), I know that he will usually come up with something very creative. I have to say that I was impressed with the stylish, unique pastel colours. There are 8 hues in the pastel range; pink, berry, peach, mint, emerald, lemon, violet and sapphire. Unlike the gawdy colours of some construction sets, I found these colours calming and easy on the eye – I am certain that children of any age will feel the same.

I was really pleased to see how well-constructed Connetix tiles are. They have a bevelled edge design which are sealed and riveted for extra safety. They are made using non-toxic ABS plastic, ensuring they are free from BPA, lead, and phthalates.

Rex is always willing to try and expand his knowledge and when constructing with Connetix, he had far more awareness of the building and problem-solving than I had previously given him credit for! He knew about gravity and building a strong foundation to prevent the possibility of over-balancing.
To start with it was a tower, then there were two towers and then a bridge to join the two towers… I, on the other hand (also keen to play!), put together a turtle. Mainly because I loved the Inspiration booklet with came with the pack and I like to follow instructions!

started primary school together. After seeing how their children not only enjoyed playing with
