Social Follow Love #SoFoLo – this week Kred.

This is all about #SoFoLo – better known as Social Follow Love. This a place for you to link up your Social Media Accounts and get sharing in order to gain more followers or benefit from some attention. Each week I am going to suggest a different Social Media Account and this week it’s

Kred works in a very similar way to Klout, although I think in some respects it is easier! You are not restricted to the amount of Kred you can give (from what I have seen), but Kred is also working to analyse your use of Twitter and Facebook and, from there, it measures your influence and outreach. The influence is how frequently you are replied to, retweeted and mentioned on Twitter and the people who interact with you on Facebook. When you give +Kred to someone, they receive 70 Influence Points in the community of your choice. You will also be rewarded with 30 Outreach Points in the Global Kred. It’s a win/win situation.  You can find much more about how it works here.

To get on board, all you need to do go over to Kred and join up by linking your Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Once you have done that then you can give Kred to people by searching for them with their Twitter user @ name – for example I am @VicWelton. This is the only way you can give Kred at the moment. Once you have located them, a panel entitled ‘My Kred Communities Score’ will come up in the top left hand side of the page showing their user name and Kred score. Just above the Kred Score are 3 icons – Twitter, Facebook and a + sign. Click on the + sign to give Kred and then you can tweet them – please try to remember to use the #SoFoLo hashtag so people know their link is working!

So please link up your Twitter user name below and lets all spread the Kred #SoFoLo!
