Tomorrow sees a whole month since Cathie from Wicked World of Lucas and I launched the new site ‘kidGLloves’ written from the perspective of our children Grace and Lucas (hence the GL in capitals in the middle of the title).

We were very proud and pleased to get our first ever ranking on the Tots 100 Index straight in at number 1833. We are also starting to get regular linkers to the very easy ‘Mini Creations’ link up and Ash, the dog, is getting lots of attention over on his Dogged Determination column.

When Cathie and I decided on the concept, we knew we wanted to launch it on a memorable date – Christmas Eve – and what we wanted to include. The difficult part was having a logo, an image that people would remember. So, one evening I was sat playing around on the ‘Paint’ program when I had a break and checked my emails. Low and behold the wonderful people at the Custom Cartoon Bakery had got in touch with me asking about drawing a cartoon of a member of my family! I was straight back to the lovely Laura explaining our dilemma and stating that I would like Grace and Lucas turned into Superheros with boxing gloves on (to highlight the gloves part of our name). They happily obliged, the cartoonist did an amazing job and both Grace and Lucas LOVE the custom cartoon drawings of themselves. I have to say that I was really pleased by how much Grace’s looks like her – and I am certain Cathie feels the same about Lucas. They were even happy to come up with the colour scheme once I sent over a copy of the ‘Kapow’ type box and writing to them.
