4 Great Picks from BrightMinds
With the fact that I have two children with a ten year age gap, it can be quite tricky to find somewhere to shop all in one place for gifts. That is where Brightminds have come to the rescue.
BrightMinds are an award-winning home shopping company that sells close to 50,000 educational toys, gifts, games and children’s books for ages 0 to 14+ years each year.
The company was founded back in 1999 by Alison – an ex-science teacher. Her objective was to inspire a brighter way to play using gender-neutral toys that are educational and not frequently-disposed-of plastic characters. They have since been named Best Internet Business, and are one of the UK’s Top 10 mail order companies as named by The Daily Telegraph.
Here are my picks for Grace:
Table of Contents
Infinity Speaker

Music has always been a big part of Grace’s life so, as she now listens to different types of songs on a regular basis then it is great to enable her to listen to it in style. This Infinity Speaker has a mesmerising ‘tunnel effect’ using the lights which move to the beat of the music. When it is switched off, the front has a mirror effect. Bluetooth, USB charging. Dimensions are 15x14x12cm. It is suitable for age 8+. RRP £24.99
Djeco Big Box of Colours

This fabulous big box of colours is suitable for most ages and is a perfect gift for any creative child.
Grace is often seen with a sketch pad and pencil case in her hands so this box which contains 88 beautiful quality Djeco pencils, markers, crayons, gel pastels, paint and paint brushes, sharpener and eraser is perfect! To top that it is all organised in a recycled cardboard case and includes a white canvas to help get you started. Suitable for age 3 years + and a RRP of £29.99.
My picks for Rex are:
SmartMax Start

Rex has always loved constructing and building so this magnetic building set would suit him perfectly.
Designed for little hands with big imaginations, the SmartMax Start set contains 16 colourful magnetic bars and 9 metal balls. It will give him plenty of opportunities to explore and connect to help stimulate his already huge imagination and help to increase his creativity skills.
The set includes: 12 medium bars (3 of each colour), 4 long bars (1 of each colour) and 9 metal balls. The blue and green colours repel and the yellow and red attract. There is also a colourful guide with both product information and sample structures. Suitable for age 1+ and RRP of £
Playfoam Go!

One of the things I am keen to do is to make that Rex isn’t continuously sat playing on a tablet – especially if we are out for a meal. So, this Playfoam set is perfect to keep little hands busy without causing too much mess.
As well as being mess-free it is a form of portable creativity which never dries out; so children can shape & squash & start again. 8 colours in a handy carry-case with 4 built-in moulds. Suitable for age 3+ and a RRP of £14.99.
