A Song for the Weekend #15 – We’re All In This Together from High School Musical
Yesterday was Grace’s Leavers Service at our local church. There were tears – mainly from me – and there were a lot of memories shared and songs sung. I was lucky enough to watch them practising and take photographs, mainly for all the mums that couldn’t be there. When they sang the Leavers Song I cried and I thought that I would be fine when they did the real service but, no, I cried again!
If you haven’t heard the Leavers Song, then this is it (you may see why I got emotional!).
Anyway, the last time Grace had a big move was when she left nursery. They had a ‘graduation’ service and their song was ‘Rule the World’ by Take That.
It has stuck as her graduation song ever since (with much mickey-taking from Ross!). This time around it would seem that we have another song for the moment – one that the children all sang to start the service and has stayed in my head ever since (ruddy ear-worms!). Anyway, it is ‘We’re All In This Together’ from High School Musical. Enjoy it here in all it’s glory!
Enjoy!

Aww! I can’t believe Grace is leaving primary school….I think it’s a rule that you have to cry at the leavers service! I did with my eldest. It’s such a big moment!
I am emotional listening to the Leavers Song….I don’t even have a child leaving school this year. lol x
I know! Where does the time go?! I definitely think it is a rule for mums 😉 I hadn’t heard it until yesterday – and I have to listen to it again the week after next!
