Girls Talk – a Wot So Funee Post #funee

My little girl is growing up fast and is coming out with some really adult sayings and – and I hate to say this – acts more grown up than I do sometimes!

Last week we were finishing playing Lord of the Rings risk (we decided to carry on from where we left off the previous week despite the fact that I had already won by rolling a double six and finding the ring AND the fact that I also rolled a double six twice in last weeks game as well!!). Anyway, Grace was ready to roll the dice to defend her armies. As she did looked up to the ceiling and muttered under her breath. She lost and, when she did, she looked up at the ceiling again and said ‘God, how could you? You’ve failed me!’

On Sunday evening, Ross cooked for us. Grace walked into the kitchen and Ross told her that he had cooked us his best spaghetti bolognese. ‘OK,’ said Grace ‘why don’t I be the servant then?’! ‘That’s really kind of you, Grace’ replied Ross. ‘I will serve it at your honour’ came her response! Then we sat down to eat.  Grace quipped ‘This is going down a right treat!’

On Sunday evening, Grace got in the bath as I was running it for her. ‘Ouch!’ she shouted ‘Mummy, this bath is burning my bum cheeks!’

Then yesterday evening we had a couple of conversations in the car coming home. ‘Mum, thank you so much for sewing up my shorts for PE’ said Grace. ‘That’s OK Grace, no problem’ I replied. ‘It means that no one can see my pants….or my bum now!’ Thanks for that Grace!

And finally came the question ‘Mum, can we go on that Germery Miles show so that we can prove that Ross is my dad?’ Goodness knows where that came from – I don’t watch Jeremy Kyle…or ‘Germery Miles’ for that matter!
