Prose for Thought. Thursday 2nd February 2017

Welcome to this week’s Prose for Thought. Thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I am pleased to say that I made good time on commenting and sharing all your posts on Twitter.

If you remember, on last week’s Prose for Thought, I shared with you the fact that Maddy from Writing Bubble was stepping down as co-editor for the BritMums Poetry and Prose round-up. Well, I am very pleased to announce that the new editor is Dawn from Rhyming with Wine. She is a very talented writer who has been a supporter of both mine and Maddy’s linkys and you can learn more about her over on this months BritMums Poetry and Prose round-up which I compiled and was was published yesterday.

Also, over on the round-up I have shared some of the best poetry from the blogging world over the past month. I definitely recommend you nip over with a cuppa for a great read.

Can you believe that this linky has now been going for over 4 years?! I first started Prose for Thought back on 17th January 2013. So, with that in mind, I thought that this week I would share the first poem I ever linked up. In those days I used to write the poem on the actual linky itself – which, after a period of time, I realised made it difficult to find. This poem was called ‘Little Angel’.

The next BritMums poetry and prose round-up is due on the 1st March and Dawn will be compiling that one. If you would like to be included, please tweet either me (@vicwelton) or Dawn (@rhymingwithwine) using the hashtag #BritMumsPoetry or comment below!

If you have written a piece of original poetry, prose or fiction and would like to share it, then please link up below. The link is open until 9.30pm the following Monday. I will try my utmost to read every single linkers post. I would also love it if you share your poem and use the #Prose4T hashtag. If you include me in your tweet – @vicwelton – I will ensure that I retweet you. Please also use my badge below if you are linking up – it helps to publicise the linky to others.

Thank you so much for the lovely introduction Victoria! I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to pop by sooner. I work the latter end of the week, and then this weekend we unexpectedly bought a house? (As you do haha!) so it’s been a bit hectic in the Rhyming household. I am really looking forward to working with you on the #BritMums Round-ups. Dawn xx
