Back in December, I was asked by Essence of Arcadia to review some of their aromatherapy oils. One of the trickiest things is knowing how to use them. They can be used in the bath or as a massage oil but one of the things I have always wanted is an aromatherapy diffuser so I was delighted when they asked me to try two of their latest products out – and I have to say I was very happy with how they work.
It’s great to be able to come in from outdoors and feel that the air inside the house is just as fresh as outside! The scent is pleasant without being overpowering and a very good mood stabiliser as well – it’s incredibly calming to catch a whiff of Lavender or Eucalyptus in the air now and then.
Essence of Arcadia have thought of design as well as practicality here, creating two very different looking models for their product. The Diamond diffuser is taller, so more suited to compact spaces, whereas the Pebble diffuser is wider and will sit best in places where there are height restrictions. I think it’s fantastic that the company haven’t simply made models in different colours – they’ve really thought about the design pros and cons and come up with two different options so the customer can buy the product that best fits their needs. As for me, I’ve gone with the Diamond diffuser in the corner of our living room and the Pebble on a bookshelf in the upstairs hallway.
The Pebble has a wooden style finish with a colour changing option and currently sits on the landing. This is the perfect place as it is just outside my office so, during the day I tend to have it on in order to lift my mood and make me feel energised. As it also reaches our bedrooms, we can use it in the evenings to help bring a relaxing, calming aroma to help us wind down at bed time.
The Diamond diffuser is encased in glass and, like the Pebble, it can be set to always-on or intermittent operation working for up to 4 hours. Similar to it’s counterpart, it has a button which changes colour, adding to the night time mood and effect of the diffuser.
Both diffusers come with three 100% pure aromatherapy oils; Teatree, Lavender and Eucalyptus and are packed beautifully in a black presentation box. You also receive a usage guide booklet with recipes and other information to help you get the maximum from your set, a water jug, UK plug and adapter and instruction manual.
If this sounds like the sort of thing that could be a very literal breath of fresh air in your home I have a 15% OFF Code for the diffusers for all my readers. All you need to do is enter ESSENCECODE4 when you reach the check out over on the Essence of Arcadia site.
