The Conception Diaries #3 – Tuesday 15th September 2015

Welcome to the third in my series of vlogs, ‘The Conception Diaries’.

Huge thanks to every one who watched, liked and commented last week. The support was so helpful.

This video was recorded on Tuesday 15th September 2015. This week I tell you about the videos Ross and I watched from the clinic we were considering including one of a lady who is an egg donor and why she does it, I tell you about the very helpful Kate Davies, a fertility nurse who has been a great support to Ross and I, I explain my plans for an HSG test and a PH test and discuss how unhelpful the GP and hospital has been.

Thank you for watching xx

If you need to find anything out, google it… The way of the modern world but not great when you need ‘real’ support and advice. Thanks for sharing this next step of your journey with us Vicky x #TheTruthAbout

It really is a rollercoaster isn’t it? I feel so unsurprised by your experiences with the GP which is a sad fact. Sometimes I genuinely think we do get better advice from Google than we do from them and from the comfort of our own homes too. Seriously though, as you say, it is a massive information overload unless you really know exactly what you are looking for. I’m glad you have found some really supportive people along the way though and I hope that you are making some progress at this point. Thanks so much for sharing this journey on #thetruthabout Vic Xx

Too right it is Sam! I totally agree with you and I have to say that I do find it scary sometimes. Thank you so much for your support Sam and for hosting x

It must be so frustrating that your GP and fertility team are not giving you the tests/trials to fully check what could be going on. I had a friend who went back and forth for a while and finally they found out it was her eggs; they were not maturing enough, despite ovulation. After drugs it was sorted but she wondered why this had not been investigated much earlier on. I really hope the appointment helped. Obviously this is in the past, so I’m wondering where things are now. Sending lots of luck xx #thetruthabout

It really was Sarah and even now I sometimes wonder ‘what if?’.Such a shame that it happened to your friend too. The appointment was OK but we came to a few conclusions. Things are much more advanced now and we are not far off our trip 🙂 x
