Introducing the Second of the New #PoCoLo Hosts – Morgan from Morgan’s Milieu

As per my last #PoCoLo post on Friday, I am pleased to say that I have found two great new blogger hosts for the Post Comment Love linky. I wanted to make sure that two people shared the load.

I asked both bloggers to write an introductory post telling people who they were. Today, the second of the two hosts introduces themselves. Morgan from Morgans Milieu. She writes about her two boys and includes posts about days out and general family life as well as reviews. She has also been known to write poetry and has not only linked up to PoCoLo but also Prose for Thought. Find her on Twitter @MorganPrinceCom

I was bowled over when Victoria asked me to be co-host for #PoCoLo, I’ve admired her for a long time and was truly honoured to be asked. Then she asked me to write a post to introduce myself…

You see I’m terrible at that kind of thing. You know, meeting new people, introducing myself, I shrink into myself and go all quiet.

The only way to overcome this was to imagine I was chatting to a friend so that’s what I’m doing. I mean I know we’re going to become friends so it’s just speeding up the process right?

So anyway, I’m Morgan. For four years I’ve blogged at Morgan’s Milieu from our Nottingham home while looking after my two boys, LP (who’s 6) and BP (who’s 11). As a mum of boys and wife to a games programmer you wouldn’t be wrong to presume that ours is a gaming household, we’ve played everything from Pac-man to Skylanders and back again. The Lego games are my favourites though and I can’t wait to have a look at Lego Dimensions.

Talking of Lego I like building sets too, the Hubby and I recently built our Lego Taj Mahal (there’s pics on my Instagram if you want to see – @morgansmilieu). I’m hoping Santa brings me some more for Christmas.

With Christmas well and truly on us my weight is surely going to rise, you see I love food. My weight is something I have a constant battle with, sometimes I do great, other times not so much. I enjoy exercise when I actually do it but getting that motivation can be struggle. I’m sure I’m not alone (please tell me I’m not) in this!

As you can imagine as a mum of boys the thing that gets me through the day is coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. My favourites include Beanies Amaretto Almond and the Nescafé Gingerbread Latte (only available this time of year). There’s nothing like listening to some soft jazz with a gingerbread latte in hand while writing a blog post. Of course I’m imagining the kids are back at school!

Don’t get me wrong I love my boys, they are my world. They keep me grounded, remind me of the beautiful and simple things in the world, and they make me laugh. From falling in the canal (yes this actually happened!) to saying the craziest nonsense you’ve ever heard my boys are what keep me going (even though they drive me mad).

Like I said I’ve been writing my blog for four years and my love of writing has grown in that time. Back when I started out I was writing a book but over time my love of blogging overtook my book and I finally decided to put the book to one side, but I do still enjoy creative writing.

Victoria, and #PoCoLo, has been one of my constants in the blogging world. I have loved joining in and hope that you will help Stephanie and I make Victoria proud. I cannot wait to get started reading all of your blogs and learning more about you.

Merry Christmas!
