Welcome to this week’s Post Comment Love. Can you believe it is October? Although, it doesn’t really feel like it with the lovely weather we have had for the past couple of days.
This week has been one of running around doing lots of things and, this weekend, we are off to Portland to see Ross’ parents and, as a family, we are all going to do our first Park Run. I won’t be around much so I will be commenting towards the end of the weekend so please bear with me!
I have to say a big thank you for all the lovely comments I received on my infertility post last weekend. I really do appreciate it. The other difficult post I have shared this week is my poem ‘Open Prose to an Angel’ – both of these are in the links below. Please don’t feel obliged to comment on them as they aren’t for every one! I have also shared the first of my Rewind Festival video interviews. The first one is Midge Ure.
I am pleased to say that I am the featured blogger over on the podcast with Tim from Slouching Towards Thatcham this week. He has kindly let me read two of my poems. Thank you for having me, Tim.
I have decided to change things slightly in the way I do Social Follow Love. It is now going to run the first and third week of the month. For the first two weeks it is for you to link any of your social media accounts. For the second two, it will be for giving out some Klout to other linkers. So, if there are any social media accounts where you would like more followers then please nip over and link up – you can link as many as you like. If you do link, then, over the course of the two weeks, I shall share your social media account on our Facebook group. Also, don’t forget our #SoFoLo community on Google + and our #PoCoLo Facebook group where you can go and post your PoCoLo post for some more shares as well as any of your social media accounts of yours that need more followers.
If you are a regular here then it would be great if you spread the #PoCoLo word. However, if you are new here then welcome! Post Comment Love is all about sharing posts which you have written this week which just haven’t got the attention they deserve and, with them all in one place, we can help each other share the comment love. This is one of the easiest links EVER. You don’t have a ‘special theme’ to have to write about, the post can be personal, sponsored, a photo, a review, a competition, your own linky, something you’ve linked to a linky….WHATEVER you like – it’s one you’ve already written this week! If you want some publicity and attention, then you are in the right place!
Please make sure you go across and comment on at least two other linkers posts. Linkys work if everyone supports each other, then, spread the #PoCoLo about this link up on Twitter. The post you link up has to have been written in the last week. The link will go up every Friday at 6.30am and close on Sunday evening at 8pm. I will make sure I retweet anyone and also try my best to tweet out the posts with the PoCoLo badge being displayed on either the post or the sidebar.
I have a list for the Newbie Showcase running into April 2016. If you would like to be featured then please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can put you on the rota. Remember, your blog needs to be under a year old to feature from the time of sending your email to me.
This week’s newbie showcase is the lovely Karen from the wonderfully named Raising Mighty Girls. I really enjoy reading her posts.
Hi, I’m Karen, a 41 year old mum from Northern Ireland with three beautiful mighty daughters and one very patience husband!
2012 was a weird, wonderful and life changing year for me – I made a conscious decision to take a break from my professional career and remain at home with my three daughters but shortly after that I was diagnosed with the dreaded ‘C’ word – in my case it was thyroid cancer.
There is very little awareness and support of thyroid cancer. It is a rare disease but also one of the fastest increasing cancers in the UK. So I’ve set myself a mission to do my little bit for the cause!
My blog was born through my love of writing, my campaign to spread awareness of thyroid cancer and my desire to ramble about my struggles and triumphs in raising my daughters to be ‘mighty’ girls.
Our family motto – Be a Mighty Girl – means to be kind, courageous, resilient and happy!
It isn’t always easy to do, so we work at it and have fun along the way. If you’ve any advice to share on raising mighty kids, then I’d love to hear from you. I need all the help I can get 🙂
If you’d like to read more about what my mighty girls and I get up to, then we’d love to have you! You can find us on the blog http://www.raisingmightygirls.blogspot.co.uk/

September was Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, so here’s a link to a post about ‘how to check your neck’ – I’d love you to have a read and then go check your neck!! http://www.raisingmightygirls.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/september-is-thyroid-cancer-awareness.html
And here’s a little glimpse into life with The Gribbon Girls:
