Post Comment Love – an apology

Sorry everyone. There is no Post Comment Love this week. I have just about had my fill of people and things causing me problems, so when the newbie showcase told me yesterday that she wasn’t blogging anymore, I decided that it would be best to have a break this weekend.

I am NOT looking for sympathy. Instead, if you would like to leave a message in the comments, I would love your happy news please 🙂

I am not a negative person, so I refuse to go into detail. Instead, I will leave you with the song that takes me to my happy place. Enjoy!

I’ll be back next week!

Enjoy your timeout!!! No need to apologise for taking some ”me time’ as busy women we all need it! Look forward to seeing you next week x

Ahh babes it’s ok to take time off for yourself and family. And sometimes a people break is needed too. We all will be here when you do return back but in the meantime biggest hugs. Love your happy song and I really hope you are enjoying a break, dancing in your pjs around the house with Grace and maybe ditching those juices for a sneaky pizza you deserve to kick back and enjoy the great things in life. You do so much and are on the go all the time. We only live once take it easy babes, ignore the “mean” people and the “ignornat” ones too. I have learned there are a lot of positive, happy people out there to surround yourself with and life is too short to be around the latter ones that make things difficult no matter who they are. Smile, sing and dance always helps me. Biggest hugs! Thinking of you!

So sorry to hear you’ve had a crappy week Vic. Sounds like you made the right decision to have some time off today. I really hope that you’re able to put it all to one side this weekend and relax at home with your family. Don’t let life drag you down, it’s an ever-changing beast and good times are just around the corner. I’m sure of it. x x x

Great idea! Taking a break is something that’s lost on a lot of people. Usually they push and push until they can’t go anymore and it just ends up doing more damage than necessary. Take as much time as you need. Have a drink, be lazy, lie in and just do nothing! It helps tremendously. We will all be here when you get back!

I know I don’t fit the qualifications to be a “newbie” for your showcase, but if you ever need someone to fill in your spots, I’m here. My blog is still fairly new, and I’m just starting to gain some steam from it! And if you need anything at all: even if it’s just to bounce ideas off of, someone to read through your writing and give you feedback. I’m available for that as well.

Have a fantastic weekend, Vic! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy 🙂

Great tune! I’m currently watching #DermotDancing and he’s doing so well too! And the music’s not so bad and a welcome change from the usual drivel on the radio, I’m so very tempted to have a little boogie with him! Have a great weekend x

Ah good on you Vic and good idea to take a break, very well deserved too. Shame some people are so thoughtless, I once poured my heart into an emotional guest post about breastfeeding… Only for the blogger to stop blogging and they didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me they wouldn’t be publishing it. Good job there are so many lovely bloggers that make up for the odd thoughtless one. No exciting news here but looking forward to making a fuss of my Mum on Sunday 🙂 hope you have a lovely weekend! Love your post 🙂 …Sometimes, that’s just the way it is!
Had a little idea with the newbie showcase – you could get a months in advance of people to send you everything now, or get a few people to send you now for ‘reserves’ – I’d be more than happy to 😉

And, I volunteer my services as back-up host when you fancy it!

    Have a FANTASTIC DAY Vic.

This blogging world can be so beautiful but also so god damn frustrating at times. But I know I speak for many when I say that I wouldn have quite as much if it hadn’t been for pocolo in this early days. I don’t join many linkies these days, time mainly, but pocolo will always be the one that helped me most to really get enveloped in this blogging malarkey. Have a gorgeous Friday and weekend xxx

It’s good to take a break, especially if things get a bit too much.
Not news as such but I wish I could share a picture with you… Boo was eating custard last night, holding her mouth wide open and sticking her tongue out and trying to lick it from the pot, it was so funny and she obviously loves custard. Made me smile after a long difficult day, when she was doing it and I am so glad I got a photo of her being my messy, adorable cheeky custard loving baby.
Hope you have a lovely weekend and a fab mothers day.

So this week I tuned up to a meeting and sat and waited for everyone else to arrive.
After 10 minutes no one else came and it dawned on me that the meeting was actually the following day.
What makes it worse is that I arranged the bloody meeting!
Then I couldn’t attend the following day because my husband had to work as I told him the wrong date for the meeting.
    Baby brain???!!!

    Hope that made you smile.

    Have a nice weekend.

We weren’t picked to go to Thorpe Park this weekend (boooo!)

    But then:

We were told that we could as someone had dropped out (YAY!)
We’ll be whizzing around on those rides and shrieking, hope it doesn’t rain!

And in other news spring is sprung, the birds are a twittering (they never cause hassle unless it’s pulling the insulation out from under the eaves) and we have primroses everywhere.

    Hi Victoria, love the song!

It’s impossible to avoid difficult times in life, but it’s how we handle them that matters and can help us get back on track. These last couple of weeks I’ve had to take a step back from everything to help preserve my sanity (many would say that it’s past preserving, but hey I can try!). Sometimes the negativity in life gets too much and cracks form in our armour, getting us down. It’s normal, it’s natural, after all we are only human.

Retreating and consciously changing my focus helps me. Positive thinking, blocking negativity (that’s the toughie) and plenty of tree hugging (the most important one as you feel like a proper lune and it makes you smile).

You take care and hope you feel strong again soon….xx
