One of our favourite finds this year has been the Vita Coco Kids drinks – and they have done a great job of keeping us hydrated. Grace’s favourites are the Mango and Pineapple flavour, closely followed by the Apple and Blackcurrant. They have kindly sent us a number of hamper packs as well as plenty of vouchers and, as a result, Grace always gets a carton in her packed lunch.
In case you hadn’t heard of Vita Coco Kids, the drink is made from young coconut water blended with natural fruit flavourings and spring water with no added flavourings or preservatives, making it a natural source of hydration for children. It has around 20 % less sugar and calories than other leading kid’s drinks in the UK. The drinks also contain naturally occurring potassium which helps keeps kids energised and hydrated. As a Mum who wants the best for her daughter, I find this really comforting.
Vita Coco Kids are well aware that parents are under pressure, especially at this time of the year when you are having to work and the children have a million and one things going on school – most of which you want to attend. Ensuring there are enough fun festive activities to occupy the kids is hard enough, let alone having all the other added stresses. Therefore, Vita Coco Kids launched The 12 Hacks of Christmas – a series of fun and simple shortcuts for the Christmas period – and they asked me to contribute 3 of our own Christmas Hacks.
Firstly, we gave them our snowflake decorations. A really easy but effective craft which kept Grace occupied for hours!
Then there was our Christmas TV Planner. With all the programmes on over Christmas, it can become overwhelming. So, in order to remember what we wanted to watch, we made this fab planner which also doubles as a decoration.
Finally, gifts can get really expensive but there is a way to keep costs at a minimum. Why not make this easy, cheap and straightforward Salted Dark Caramel Sauce?
Disclosure: We were compensated by Vita Coco Kids for providing our hacks, however, all words and opinions expressed are our own and have not been influenced in any way.
