Memories Are Made for Sharing. A Review of the Memory Box App.

Memory Box BadgeThere were so many brands to meet when we went along to BritMums Live this year and one of them that caught my eye was the fabulous Memory Box. I entered a competition with them and won a Spa Day – which I have yet to make use of!

Anyway, I am pleased to say that I am now one of their official bloggers, so you will be seeing plenty of uploads from me over on the Memory Box App which will be shared across all types of social media so you won’t miss a trick.

But what about the App itself? How does it work?

Firstly upload the app to your iPhone, iPad or other android device. Then enter all your details to create an account. Then create your memories from your camera roll of up to 10 images as well as record the audio that goes with your photo, whether it be your voice, a family or friends voice or even a piece of music to remind you of your event or memory –  the recent or distant past. You can then enter the date, location and genre of the photos you are displaying. You can choose to either make the story public or private – being selective about the people you want to be able to view it.  Then you can share on Facebook and Twitter from the app as well as copy the URL in order to share on other social media. The best thing in my opinion is the audio. You can quickly forget a date, a place, another memory to go with the photo, that this really gives the app something extra.

When you view your stories, you can either choose in settings to automatically scroll through the photos and listen to the audio by pushing the play button or set them as manual which means you can scroll through the photos at your leisure and choose whether or not to listen to the audio.

You may have seen some stories from me that have already been shared but you can click onto two of them here and here.

There is also timeline for Recent Stories – the ones which haven’t been classed as private:

So, in bullet points, here are the benefits of Memory Box:

  • Take a photo, or choose up to 10 photos from your camera roll that capture a memory you want to keep and record up to 5 minutes of audio to accompany your images.
  • Keep the moments that you want to remember safe; from a special wedding day and your child’s first day school, to the family holiday.
  • Add another dimension to your blog posts by including captured photos and audio compiled as a memory.
  • Record the voices of the people who matter to you most and preserve them.
  • Reminisce about childhood memories and family stories by re-capturing old family photographs and recording your parent’s memories.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I really love it’s effective simplicity. The audio takes just moments to record but it is captured for a lifetime.

Why not download the app today? You will find it here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/memory-box-stories/id588677432?mt=8

Then share your stories using the hashtag #MemoryBoxStories

Sounds like a great product. I wish I had an iPhone now and could take pics. The audio option would be great for me. By the way, you say the product is suited for other Android products, but I’m assuming you mean Apple.
