Post Comment Love and Newbie Showcase 18th to 20th April 2014

Basic RGBHappy Easter! Every day is a good Friday over here on the Post Comment Love blogging community 🙂 I hope you manage to have a bit of relaxation time today to eat a hot cross bun or two and read some blogs. This week’s featured blog badge belongs to Emma and her blog Bubba Blue and Me. Click on the badge to hop over for a visit.

This week has been fairly quiet on the blogging front for me whilst I try and drum up some students for my Driving School. On top of that I have spent lots of time amusing Grace! She went horse riding on Tuesday and I was so proud when she had her first canter and went for her first hack across the fields. I am so envious. I miss horse riding immensely. One day…when I’ve won the lottery!

Yesterday we were lucky enough to go to Chessington World of Adventures and a bit later on today there will be a post appearing on my blog with a review and a chance for you to win £250 to spend at Chessington thanks to The Sun.

Today, Good Friday, I am going to be fairly quiet on social media whilst I spend some time with my family. We are having a big Easter get-together and all of my brothers and sisters will be there – a total of 23 of us!  Then, tomorrow we are off to review the stage show ‘Aliens In Their Underpants’ at Windsor Theatre for Grace and Lucas’ blog, kidGLloves. Over on kidGLloves we were also very honoured to be made Toys R Us Toyologists this week 🙂

This week’s #SoFoLo is back to Twitter. If you find you are already following someone, then why not do some retweeting for them and don’t forget to use the SoFoLo hashtag so they know where you came from. To find out more then please pop over to share your profile and receive some follows from fellow linkers.  Don’t forget our #SoFoLo communityfollow too where you can come and post your PoCoLo post for some more +1s and shares as well as any of your social media accounts of yours that need more followers.

If you are a regular here then it would be great if you spread the #PoCoLo word. However, if you are new here then welcome! Post Comment Love is all about sharing posts which you have written this week which just haven’t got the attention they deserve and, with them all in one place, we can help each other share the comment love. This is one of the easiest links EVER. You don’t have a ‘special theme’ to have to write about, the post can be personal, sponsored, a photo, a review, a competition, your own linky, something you’ve linked to a linky….WHATEVER you like – it’s one you’ve already written this week! If you want some publicity and attention, then you are in the right place!

Please make sure you go across and comment on at least two other linkers posts. Linkys work if everyone supports each other 🙂 then spread the #PoCoLo about this link up on Twitter. The post you link up has to have been written in the last week. The link will go up every Friday at 6.30am and close on Sunday evening at 8pm.

I have a list for the Newbie Showcase running into February 2015!! If you would like to be featured then please email me at vickywelton@hotmail.com so I can put you on the rota. Remember, your blog needs to be under a year old to feature. Apologies if I haven’t got back to you yet.

This week I am pleased to welcome our first Dad blogger to the newbie showcase. Please go and say hi to Ryan from The English Dad.

5huXo6yRHi. About 8 months ago I started blogging as ‘The English Dad’. Surprisingly enough, that’s not my real name. I’m Ryan and I blog about my own and my family’s lives from my point of view, mainly as a dad, but also just as a man.

I live near Leeds with my wife and two little girls, who are BigSis (aged 6) and LittleSis (aged 3) on the blog. They were the main inspiration for the blog in the first place and they are for pretty much everything else I do at the moment.

When BigSis was born I tried to start a diary, but with a hectic life at the time I didn’t get anywhere with it, which I kind of regret now. So 5 years on and with (ever so slightly) more free time I decided to start writing a blog.

The bulk of the posts so far are written as a dad, as I tend to post when something happens in my kid’s lives, or we have a day out, or something happens that I think other parents might relate to.

Having said that, I think it’s quite important to remind yourself that you aren’t just a parent every so often (which can be tricky I know) so I also want to write from my own point of view about anything I find interesting, funny or important.

For me, blogging has to fit in around work, studying, reading bedtime stories, doing jigsaws and watching CBeebies, Nick Jr and the like so I don’t post to a rigid schedule by any means – Just when I can, but I’m trying to post more often lately. It tends to come in waves to be honest but I think most of you probably know where I’m coming from there.

So that’s it.. As I said, I’m pretty new to blogging so please come over and take a look. The blog is at englishdad.com Also, please come and say hi and/or follow me and chat to me anytime on Twitter where I am @theenglishdad. I’m pretty friendly.. Honest.

Hope you enjoy the blog. Bye for now.

So, whether you want to #PoCoLo, #SoFoLo or both, please pay our lovely newbie showcase a visit as well as some of the lovely linkers below. Have a great weekend xx

My Good Friday turned out to be a family day too…my Dad turned up first thing and decided instead of trimming my hedge for Summer he was going to hack it all down! I think he took my “low maintenance” request a little too seriously! We did make time for coffee and hot cross buns too though 🙂

    Back in a bit to #pocolo & #sofolo some people 🙂 x

That is motherhood right there – forgoing your love of horseriding for the sake of your daughter’s chance to learn. You are a lovely mummy, Victoria! Have a lovely time with all your siblings – amazing! Happy Easter! xxx

Enjoy your family day today and the theatre performance tomorrow. You will have to let us know what it is like so we can book tickets if it is worth it! Just linked my post about scented surprise play dough eggs but I will not be commenting until tonight as I have been having issues with my blog and need to sort it out. You might have had similar problems as I could not comment on your posts (or read them) on Monday. x Mel

I am glad Grace enjoys riding. Having ridden since I was three I miss it sometimes. I gave up when I lost my PSG horse and my back got more painful. I hope Baby wants to ride xx
