Marshmallows Made Marvellous. A Parragon Book Review.

photo 2 (3)Marshmallows aren’t really something that come to mind when you are looking for something to make in the kitchen with your kids, so I was surprised upon flicking through this Parragon book to see just how easy they are to make.

Homemade Marshmallows are far better than the shop bought ones – mainly because you can control what goes into them! Apart from a sugar thermometer there is nothing else you really need to master the basics of marshmallow-making.

Marshmallows Made Marvellous includes a detailed recipe for making vanilla marshmallows together with over 25 variations on this including Toffee Apple Marshmallow Pops, Hot Chocolate Topper Marshmallows, Rainbow Marshmallows, White Choc and Peppermint and – my favourite – Peanut Butter Cup Marshmallows.

This is a book that we will certainly be using during the Easter Holidays.

I would never have thought of making marshmallows – but now I am tempted to!
