TopCashBack – the Site That Helps You Earn Whilst You Spend

Top CashBackI have to be pretty frugal when it comes to buying Christmas presents. Pretty sensible as well. I don’t earn very much money, I have a daughter whose birthday is directly after Christmas, I am the eldest of 7 children AND I now have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Our family have tried the Secret Santa thing but at least one of us never sticks to it so we have all just decided to do our own thing but make sure we give the biggest treat to each of the children.

Cashback ChristmasI was recently set a challenge to use a great cash back site called TopCashBack. It really is top too. I was given £80 to spend and asked to save/earn as I spent. And I did it!

One of the many great things about TopCashBack is that they have the opportunity to spend – and earn cashback – from so many well-known stores. These include Boots,, Amazon, Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Debenhams to name but a few and I knew EXACTLY where I would be headed!

*You can probably imagine me sitting down in front of my computer, stretching and cracking my knuckles ready to make a start on this task at this point*

First of all I had to finish off buying for my nieces and nephew as well as a few more bits for family. Now I love the Boots 3 for 2 offers on their Christmas range. Having already bought many of my presents there thanks to a voucher I had received, I was almost done BUT there were still more items I needed so, clicking on the link to the Boots website via TopCashBack I was taken into shopping mode.

The other benefit I have with Boots is an Advantage card so, not only was I earning via TopCashBack, I was getting advantage card points AND the 3 for 2 offer on their Christmas presents. PLUS I was saving on fuel. If you spend over £20 online with Boots then they deliver free to your local store (over £45 and they deliver to your home). Our local store is 2 miles away down in town – 1 mile from Grace’s school – I need the exercise!

The breakdown went like this:

  • £34 spent with Boots
  • £13 saved on the 3 for 2 offer
  • 136 Advantage Points awarded
  • £1.35 earned from TopCashBack
  • TOTAL OVERALL to inc savings and earnings = £15.71 (plus saving on parking and fuel)

The other site I visited I had to choose a little more carefully. I hadn’t really bought anything for Ross at this stage  and I knew there was a few computer games he wanted so I decided to firstly compare the sites which offered the best deal via TopCashBack. For example:

WWE2K14 for the PS3

  • Game – £39.99 – FREE delivery
  • Amazon – £34.59 & P&P
  • – £34.95 – FREE delivery

It was the same with the other two games I wanted to get so I purchased all three from and this was the breakdown:

  • WWE2K14 – £31.84 – saving £8.15
  • Jewel Quest III – £4.99 (only stocked by
  • Resident Evil 6 – £10.99 – saving £4.00
  • £1.51 earned from TopCashback
  • TOTAL OVERALL to inc savings = £11.69 (plus saving on fuel and parking)

There are, of course, many other benefits offered by TopCashBack. I love the way that they have the latest red hot deals listed on the home page, the top ten merchants are on the home page too which makes them easy to find, they have plenty of competitions and giveaways to get involved with, free ways to earn cashback and deals of the day but one of the best ways to earn is to Tell-A-Friend! Now if you aren’t a member of TopCashBack yet and would like to send a little Christmas gift my way then, at the moment I can earn £20 per sign up referral if you follow this link – Of course, you would have to spend via the site but with all the Christmas shopping that is carried out online, plus the amount of merchants to choose from AND the fact that you will earn whilst you spend, then why not? Plus you can pass the Tell-A-Friend on and earn £20 per referral too!

The other great thing about the site that I have found – unlike many of the other cashback sites I have visited in the past – is that it is so easy to navigate and find your way around. Another plus when you are so busy, especially at this time of year.

So in total, purchasing Christmas presents via TopCashback may have cost £81.82 BUT not only did I earn points on my Boots cards and took advantage of what both Boots and had to offer, I also earned from TopCashBack so my total earnings and savings?

A massive £27.40.

Of course, I will add to this if all my friends sign up too! 😉
