To say that I am over the moon when I agreed sponsorship yesterday is an understatement. I am honoured to represent this person and her clinic at BritMums Live for so many reasons.
Way back in 2006 when I fell pregnant I wanted to ensure that my baby had the best start possible. I had rather a lot of odds stacked against me conceiving. I have a balanced translocation of my chromosomes which means that there is a chance that my child would be disabled and on top of that I have endometriosis. At 11 weeks I had to have a CVS test done – which in itself carries a risk of miscarriage – to see if my baby was disabled. Thankfully after a difficult wait for the results (which took longer than it should have done) I found out that my baby was fine, not even a balanced translocation. I felt a total and utter responsibility for this small person I was forming to ensure that it got the best start possible.
This is where my my sponsor became so important to me and the future of my baby. I am proud to announce that my sponsor for BritMums Live is the leading pregnancy and fertility expert, Zita West. She is a practicing midwife, acunpuncturist and nutritional advisor. I owe the health of Grace to her. I followed her books religiously throughout my pregnancy, purchased the pure fish oil that she sold to ensure that my baby’s brain developed fully and took up pregnancy yoga to help me relax. It was my calm during my pregnancy when everything else was a storm around me.
Last week I decided to explain my story to her via email and say that I would like to represent her at BritMums Live. I was shocked when her representative, Sofie, contacted me last Friday to find out more. When I found out Zita was interested in sponsoring me, I was in tears as I spoke to Sofie explaining why it was so important to me.
Then, yesterday, I spoke to the lady herself. I’ve never experienced being star-struck before! I’ve even met my teenage crushes Go West and didn’t feel like this then. She explained that she got a lot of requests, not all of which were genuine but she believed mine was.

Below Zita talks on behalf of Mothercare.
I will be writing in more detail about the Zita West Clinic and the services she provides including some reviews and giveaways of her products but in the meantime you can find more about Zita West at her website, on Facebook and on Twitter.
Thank you so much Zita, I’m proud to have you as my sponsor.
