Win Mums Show Live Tickets

As you may, or may not be aware, the first Mums Show Live is coming to Alexandra Palace in London this May from Thursday 16th until Sunday 19th.

The organisers of Mums Show Live describe it as:

FOR FAMILIES WITH 4-12 YEAR OLDS, Mums Show Live! is your chance to get face to face with the discussion raised by other parents, books, newspaper articles, TV shows, expert blogs and websites as well as teachers and of course our own mums and dads. The response has been phenomenal and we’re confirming the sponsors, exhibitors, partners, experts and celebrities that will bring the event to life.

The show will provide theatre sessions and discussions, shopping and entertainment for the whole family. There is a comprehensive schedule of topics for conversation and inspiration across the four days including Sibling Rivalry, School Gates, Not Stupid – Autism/Behaviour Issues and Too Much Information – are your kids at risk from information on the internet.

The exhibition is well-organised with designated spaces for different activities and events including The Fridge Door which is a place to meet and eat – and leave magnetic messages for friends and family on the fridge door!, Lifestyle which is all about activities and safety tips, The School Gates for learning activities and teaching aides, Mums The Word – all about treats just for us women, Fashion, House and Garden, The Marketplace and The Treehouse which is all about entertainment for the kids.

Exhibitors include Butlins, Kumon Educational, Morphy Richards, My Family Magazine and Usborne Books

Not only is it an informative event but it also promises to be a lot of fun!

Tots 100 will be there along with a number of their bloggers including Actually Mummy, Crazy With Twins, Mummy Be Beautiful, Family Four Fun, Boo Roo and Tigger Too, KiddyCharts and some blogger or another from Verily Victoria Vocalises ;). As well as that, Jennifer Howze, co-founder of BritMums will be running seminars from the Inspiration Theatre about starting a blog and advanced blogging.

Three of us bloggers, including me, are all speakers/panellists in the Conversation theatre. Helen Wills is joining the panel for ‘School Gates’ on Friday 17th May at 12pm – she tells me she is looking forward to joining up with Sarah Edner who writes for The Times and is author of The Starting School Survival Guide, and I am on the panel for ‘Too Much Information – is your Child at Risk?’ along with Meaghan Fitzgerald, the head of marketing at 23snaps, on Friday 17th May at 4pm.

That sounds really good and I’d love a chance to go. ‘Too much information’ will be so useful to all parents. I saw an advert for this event on a blog but hadn’t heard anything else so useful to know. Thanks Clare

I didn’t know about this, sounds good to go to when POD reaches the ripe old age of four! I still can’t get my head round her being two 🙂

I use a fake name for my son (like the rest of us) on my blog. But I’m saving everything I write for when he’s old enough to read it. So I try not to write anything too bad or embarrassing about him!

I am not too worried – I don’t use their names on my blog but if people wanted to find out they easily could!

I started out naming H, but started a new blog and changed it to just her initial, figured that way she can choose what she wants when she’s old enough to think about it.
