I know they are a bit of a cliche but I do love a good pair of Christmas socks. It has kind of become a tradition now in our family (because, believe it or not, it wasn’t before!) that my mum buys me a pair of Christmas socks. I don’t know about you but I find socks one of the most useful presents around. Generally they are covered up by my shoes or boots when I venture out anywhere but I can get funny looks if I rock up to someone’s house in the middle of May, have to take my shoes off and then expose to them the fact that my socks depict a herd of Christmas reindeers!
Anyway, this year TK Maxx are making the Christmas jumper a thing of the past, and having 2016 as the year of the Christmas sock. The brighter and bolder the better. Suits me! So, in order to raise awareness and money for Cancer Research Kids and Teens, TK Maxx is launching National Christmas Sock Day.
National Christmas Sock Day will take place on Tuesday 6th December and the great British public will be encouraged to make a great big statement by wearing their Christmas socks with pride to show their support to beat children’s cancers. Official Christmas socks for women, men and kids will be on sale in TK Maxx stores and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens. As well as supporting a good cause, Christmas Sock Day will also be about spreading the festive cheer and asking the British public to be part of something fun and meaningful.
So, how will you wear yours? Here are just a few ideas for your sock selfie with a little help from Grace!
