Welcome to this week’s Prose for Thought. I was thrilled to see 15 linkers last week – that is the most this linky has had in a while. It is great to see so many – some of whom I haven’t seen for a while and some of whom are new. Plus, there are the talented regulars too (it seems I am even writing in poetry form now!).
The poem I have written – and is linked below – was started on Monday evening after I had found out Sara’s prompt this week was the word ‘paint’. At first I was a little stuck. Then I remembered how I liked to romanticise a bit about the world around us. A couple of years ago I wrote a short description of a children’s book about the Dew Fairy – a fairy who likes to sprinkle dew over the grass and spiders webs to help the tooth fairies find their way home. It was from that which I drew the inspiration for this week.
As well as linking up with the prompt and, of course, Prose for Thought I have also linked to What I Writing with Maddy over at Writing Bubble.
So, if you have written a piece of original poetry, prose or fiction and would like to share it, then please link up below. I will try my utmost to read every single linker. I would also love it if you share your poem and use the #Prose4T hashtag. If you include me in your tweet – @vicwelton – I will ensure that I retweet you. Please also use my badge below if you are linking up – it helps to publicise the linky to others.
