Every year since my nephew was born, all the siblings in my family get together and make a photo calendar of all their children and then give them as gifts to all the family (so, if any of you are reading this now then please stop!). Of course, as the years go by there seem to be more additions and, at the latest count, there are now 6 of them so Grace is joining her 5 cousins on this years calendar.
When I was offered the opportunity to review what Truprint had to offer in the way of photo calendars, I was interested to see what options there were and how easy it would be to put the calendars together. Truprint has always been a name I feel I can trust. I can remember the envelopes that came through our door from Truprint when we were younger, sending the film away to be developed and then the photos being sent back when they were ready. Ah, those were the days!
Nowadays, photos are all instantaneous! Whilst it is VERY easy to make the calendars, it is rather time consuming but this in no way is Truprints fault…it is the amount of photos we have to juggle! In previous years my sister Stephanie has taken charge, another year Harriette had the honour and this year the responsibility is all mine. I guess, being the eldest, it is only right really!
Before making the calendars, we had to upload the photographs. I gave the other members of my family with children the sign in and password and we were all able to create albums both from our computers and Facebook. Powered by Snapfish which was created by Hewlett Packard, it was very easy to use and I was expecting great quality as a result. I wasn’t disappointed.
Due to the fact that there are now 6 children to fit onto the pages, I wanted a company that would allow us more than the standard 1 or 2 photos. I am really pleased to say that Truprint allow as many as you want and give you many different options on how, and what size, they are displayed in at just the click of your mouse. In order to ensure that all the photos fit onto the page, you need to make sure you drag and drop them into the column of the calendar you are creating.
First up is the nifty desk calendar – this is the one I have chosen to keep for my office – and I must say I am very pleased with it. It has an easy stand and clear photos.
Then there is the premium 14″ by 11.5″. A very large calendar with, again beautiful photo quality and a must for our Mum so she can see her Grandchildren in all their glory.
A square 12″ by 12″ calendar is next on the agenda. A great size which displays all photos beautifully.
The 11″ by 8.5″ is the usual size that we normally get for everyone as a gift. In past years, the quality has always been OK but I am really happy with this years design and product. I was offered to review one but we bought the extras to cater for the rest of our family.
Finally, the kitchen calendar is one I made separately as a gift for Ross. It has different designs on it for each month of the year and there are photos of the 3 of us together, us individually as well as one of the cats.
Until 9th December they are offering a massive 60% off their calendars PLUS tomorrow I have 5 chances for you to win a 11″ by 8.5″ calendar to create of your very own. This competition will run until Thursday 12th as their last Christmas orders are 17th December and we want to make sure you get time to get your order in.
So if you are looking for some great photo gifts this Christmas then look no further than Truprint.
Disclaimer: I was given 5 different calendars by Truprint to create and keep. The balance I paid for myself. Please note that all words and opinions are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
