Bullguard – Your Complete Identity and Social Media Protection Package

One of the things that is constantly in the back of my mind is how to protect my Identity online. I regularly sign into both my bank and paypal accounts amongst many other things including car tax renewals, updating the address and driving licence and many other things beside.

I was recently given the opportunity to test out BullGuard, an online Identity Protection package which incorporates the safeguarding of your personal and financial details as well as overseeing your childrens Facebook accounts.

BullGuard have conducted a survey of parents and their children’s use of social media and with the results they have come up with this infographic:

There are some really interesting statistics involved. Alex Balan, Head of Product Management at BullGuard added:

”It’s a minefield for parents, whilst you want your children to have freedom and make friends you want to ensure they are safe when they are online. And this is where BullGuard Identity Protection can help. It’s hard enough watching your children 24/7 in the real world, but keeping tabs on their movements online is the real challenge. BullGuard’s Identity Protection (http://www.bullguard.com/products/bullguard-identity-protection.aspx) offers Facebook protection for parents concerned about what their children are being exposed to such as cyber bullying, social predators or inappropriate content. It provides unobtrusive parental controls that permit parents to keep a discreet eye on their kid’s Facebook activities, so they can go back to just worrying about them in the real world.”

Thankfully Grace is not yet of an age where I have to concern myself about her being online at home but at least I know what to use and where to go when I do.

I was very interested in the safeguarding and protection of my personal data. BullGuard makes it extremely easy to sign up and start to create your account. You set up a summary of personal details that you use on a regular basis and the clever package monitors the use of these terms and whether someone is trying to use them on a 24/7 basis. You will see this at the top of your dashboard:

BullGuardSo far there appear to have been no threats but there really is a lot to be said about having peace of mind.

If you are looking for online protection from identity fraud or are looking for a package to help protect your child online then I thoroughly recommend the straightforward, easy to use, BullGuard Identity Protection.

    Victoria,
I have been seeing a lot of activity regarding BullGuard. I’m familiar with LifeLock but that’s only because of their advertising blitz. I’m going to have to really look at BullGuard because it sounds like it is a really good product and perhaps even better then LifeLock. Thank you for your informative post.
