As you may recall I started a new Cleansing Programme a week ago yesterday called ‘Clean 9’ – so-called because it is a 9 day course. As per the programme, the first two days meant no food (what?!). For full details then you can see last week’s post here.
The first two days consisted of the following:
Morning: 2 Garcinia Tablets (20 minutes before Aloe), 4 oz Aloe Vera Gel and a minimum of 8oz of water. 20 minutes of exercise
Snack: 2 Bee Pollen Tablets and a minimum of 8 oz of water
Lunch: 2 Garcinia Tablets (20 mins before Aloe), 4 oz of Aloe Vera Gel and a minimum of 8 oz of water, 1 scoop of Lite Ultra and 10 oz of skimmed or soya milk to make a shake. 2 Bee Pollen Tablets.
Dinner: 2 Garcinia capsules (20 mins before Aloe), 4 oz Aloe Vera Gel, a minimum of 8oz of water, 2 Bee Pollen Tablets
Evening: 4 oz Aloe Vera Gel and minimum of 8 oz of water
After the first two days I was very ready to add a 600 calorie meal into the mix! This meant that I was allowed the Lite Ultra shake for breakfast and lunch as well as the supplements I was already taking. My evening meals consisted of salads together with a piece of grilled chicken or fish. I love smoked mackerel as well as salmon and I added some light dressing to the salad and reduced fat hummus to the plate too. I stuck to plenty of water and had a herbal tea in the evenings.
The first couple of days were VERY hard. I had splitting headaches, was tired and exhausted – as well as adding a cold and sore throat in to the mix which made it harder! I was fairly low and was marking this down in my book. By Wednesday I had improved and felt more spritely but I was feeling really sick and funny. A call to my doctor the next morning meant taking the Garcinia tablets out of the equation. It’s funny because the diet states that the bee pollen can make you feel nauseous but it certainly wasn’t this causing the problem. Taking tablets out really helped and made me feel so much better.
With the Garcinia tablets out, I did wonder how this was going to affect my overall result but I needn’t have worried – as you will see shortly!
I continued with the exercise each day, the headaches eased, the energy improved and so did my feeling of general wellbeing.
Things I disliked about the diet:
- The horrible feeling the first two days.
- The taste of Aloe Vera Gel is an ‘acquired’ one. It tastes to me like a cross between cold soup and watered down orange juice!
Things I liked about the diet:
- It is really easy to follow with everything there for you in your book.
- The feeling of well-being after 3 to 4 days is lovely
So, how did I fair in weight and measurements? Here goes:
Last Week This Week
Weight: 176.2lbs 169.8lbs
Arm: 10 inches Arm: 10 inches
Waist: 30 inches Waist: 30 inches
Hips: 45 inches Hips: 42 inches
Thigh: 27 inches Thigh: 25.5 inches
Chest: 35.5 inches Chest: 35 inches
Overall I am really pleased with this result. The thing I am most pleased about though is that I generally am feeling much more healthy and ‘clean’ since my week of excess! Now the 9 days are over, I am not going to throw it all away. I am going to continue to eat healthy, nutritious food, cut out the caffeine and alcohol and lessen the chocolate intake – all in time to make sure I don’t feel too guilty when I add some of the not so good things back in at Christmas!
If you would like to get fit and healthy and feel better then I really recommend this diet. If you would like the opportunity to try the Clean 9 Cleansing Programme for yourself, then Shyne is offering the readers of Verily Victoria Vocalises 15% off the full price of the diet which normally retails at £119.24.
