Monkey Magic. A Review of the new Walkers Hoops and Crosses.
When we returned, it was the first thing Grace asked about. ‘Can I try those crisps Mum? And can I see what the surprise inside is please?’ Needing a snack after a long walk round the woods, I agreed. Upon opening the box we found a cardboard book, which is a bit young for Grace and she completely disregarded it.
The next layer wasn’t just a packet of the new Walkers Hoops and Crosses crisps, there was also one of the cutest monkey cuddly toys I have ever seen. Grace was thrilled.
We had the roast beef flavour as our test packet. Walkers say ‘We understand kids can be cheeky monkeys when it comes to eating what parents put in their lunchboxes. Which is why we’ve created new Walkers Baked Hoops & Crosses – a great-tasting, low-fat and fun way for kids to boost their wholegrain intake’. Hoops and Crosses are made from wholegrains and have no artificial colours or preservatives. Each bag is 85 calories and they come in three great flavours (all suitable for vegetarians) – roast beef, prawn cocktail and salt and vinegar.
Ross and I tried a few and left Grace the rest of the packet. She lay on the sofa eating her new crisps and cuddling ‘Metro the Monkey’. The crisps were gone in the blink of an eye!
Disclosure: We were sent a box containing the crisps and a gift and I have also received monetary compensation for writing this post. All words and opinions are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
