As some of you might have noticed on my Facebook page or Twitter earlier, I’m a little bit excited about an opportunity that has presented itself.

A couple of weeks ago I got to thinking that I might take my blog in a slightly different direction and do more film, television and music reviews. But who am I trying to kid? This blog was always started as bit of a generalisation of ideas and opinions and there was never going to be a particular ‘specialist niche’ for me. I just wanted to share some of my thoughts and experiences with people.

So, a couple of days ago, the perfect solution raised it’s head. A friend of mine, Luke Owen, shared a post on Facebook stating that Flickering Myth were looking for writers. This site is dedicated to all things in film and television entertainment. In the words of Gary Collinson, Editor-in-Chief:

‘FlickeringMyth.com is a UK-based movie site featuring news, reviews, interviews,trailers, short films, giveaways, special features, independent film and more. We cover all areas and genres of film, from Hollywood to British and world cinema,both mainstream and independent, new releases and old, along with television, books and other forms of media (albeit with a slant towards movie-related material)’.

Last month they had over 285,000 visitors and now, I have been added to their bank of friendly contributors.  I introduced myself on their writers group yesterday and had some lovely welcomes – I think it helped that I mentioned Wrestelmania though! Plus the fact that I am a complete Star Wars and Dr Who geek!

I have submitted my initial article which is a preview about the new series ‘Revolution’ that has it’s UK premiere this month on Sky 1. As soon as the link is up I shall let you all know. In the meantime, here’s the trailer to the show:
