This week has been rather sparse on the funee front. Going back to school last week has somewhat of a shock to the system for Grace and nerves have started to kick in big time. I believe that because she is in Year 1 now, she is starting to realise school is no longer ‘playtime’, it’s for learning new and challenging things.  She is very similar to me in the nerves department and as a result the funee Grace has been rather subdued.

What I thought I would do is tell you a #funee that came from me when I was about the same age as Grace is now. My Mum and Dad went to the school for my first parent’s evening. Upon reading my writing book, they found that I had written ‘My Mummy and Daddy are so poor they have to sleep in the same bed’. My Mum has great pleasure in relaying that story to everyone, and then she follows it up with ‘Now my Mummy and Daddy are so rich, they live in different Countries’!

Grace did come out with some amusing quips last night when Ross and her decided to have a game which sounded like ‘kidnappers’! I heard Grace cry out ‘I’m only a poor girl, please don’t mug me!’ followed by ‘I’ll give you anything I want!’

Finally, as you have probably gathered by now, following last weekend’s Saturday is Caption Day, Grace loves to pose and make faces for the camera. The one above is of the usual suspects in our family – Grace, Ross and Muse! – taken yesterday evening. The photo below is Grace in what she classed as being dressed like ‘Alice in Wonderland’ so decided to do an impression of falling down a hole!
