Whenever we talk of holidays, Grace always remembers getting on a plane and going to Eygpt as her first big adventure so this, of course, would be where Father Christmas was off to.
In the picture he can be seen riding a camel and the bubble coming out of his mouth says ‘Wow! It’s hot!’ Not really surprising when he is still in his big red suit! The area of blue to his right is the swimming pool and naturally the yellow area is sand. When I asked her what the orangey red patch is, she replied ‘Don’t be silly Mummy, it is really, really, really hot sand!’
Yesterday evening we started looking at some old Christmas things and came across a card of a snowman that Grace had made a couple of years ago at nursery. Ross and Grace had a chat and Grace asked Ross ‘Do you want to feel him? There’s nothing inside’ Ross replied ‘What?! How does he eat and breathe and stuff?’ Grace responded, in a really grown-up and rather patronising way ‘Look, he’s actually a snowman alright? And he is actually on a card too, so no way that is going to happen’!
Finally Grace’s obsession with the nether regions continues. Yesterday evening Ross and Grace were having a play fight. Grace shouts ‘I’ll hit you in the man’s bits!’ Ross says ‘I need those!’ Grace’s response? ‘What for? The Afterlife’!
Also, this morning she reliably informs me that butt is Spanish for bum!
